Who WE are…

We are a 501c3 nonprofit program that reaches a wide-ranging group of young individuals and provides them with knowledge, skill, wisdom and biblical truth.

Initially we contracted with a local organic grain farmer and sent the youth out to pull weeds by hand in the fields. We now run a one-acre garden in Aurora, Colorado where the youth help plant, maintain, and harvest the produce. A daily Bible lesson is done with the youth as part of the workday. The produce is available for U-Pick and to sell to wholesalers. This helps fund the program.

The garden provides an opportunity to operate a summer program called Jr. Rookie which is designed for elementary children to learn about growing plants with Biblical principle lessons.

How it works

In past years, we reached out to local youth and parents to promote our program and provide opportunity to join, or in some cases REJOIN our work force.

THEN WHAT?

In the Spring, it is time to get to work. Our youth workers focus on the preparation, maintenance and harvest of our farm produce.

We are excited to offer a program specifically directed toward elementary age children. Throughout several weeks during the summer, these kids have the opportunity to learn about agriculture and processes involved in plant germination, growth and production. Biblical principle lessons are taught.

This idea is rooted in our recognition of God’s love for children. In an increasingly technology dependent world, we have seen great value in getting these kids outside and teaching them to respect God’s creation and why it exists the way it does.

Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.
